WRITING REFLECTION

Ideas and content
My writing demonstrates appropriate ideas and content. In some of my writings, I stayed in topic and tried not to get off topic. I try to get more details but while I try to do that, I forget about my main topic and begin writing about other things. I can improve my writing by taking out the rubric and looking at it while writing the main topic. Also, I can give at least 4 good reasons for each evidence I write about.

Organization
My organization was not that good because I couldn't draw people in to read my essay and to grab others attention to read on. My body paragraphs were sometimes all over the place but I tried my best to get on topic and not to go onto a different topic while writing.

Personal Growth
I think my growth went down when I look at those two essay because I was prepared for the Alchemist but I wasn't for the Julius Caesar. I was not prepared for Julius Caesar essay because I did not spend a lot of my time on it and also my organization was not that great and people who read it was not interested to read my essay.

SLR's
The SLR that I would choose for all these essay is Think Creatively because all of those essay needed to think carefully to plan what I needed to write and what I did not need to write. Also, I had to write carefully that I don't forget about my main topic.

CASSIUS ESSAY!!!

(Act three scene 1 lines 183-210) This quote shows that Antony is outraged that the conspirators and shows that he is going to take revenge on those people who tried to plan something against him killed Caesar. The two words that motivate Antony are revenge and Caesar. He was going to revenge Caesar’s death because Caesar was the best friend and a good king to Antony and he believes that what he is doing is a noble goal because he is taking revenge of what brutal things that they did against Caesar

The word that describes his motivation is revenge because he believes that Caesar was going to be a good king to everyone and a good friend to him. After Caesar died, he was outraged of the people that betrayed Caesar so he started going around convincing people to join his army so that he can kill everyone that deceive Caesar. (Act four scene 3 lines 213-222) This passage shows that people started joining his army, which became more powerful and had more men to defeat the other armies of the conspirators. The Romans and other people in the play believes that this is a worthy goal because the conspirators killed Caesar for being ambitious but most of the people believe that they should be killed for killing Caesar without a purpose. In the end, his revenge is creates a worthy outcome when he kills all of the conspirators. Nevertheless, one more word makes him thrive for revenging Caesar.

A different word that inspires him is Caesar because he believed Caesar was a king who would never harm Rome and never do anything bad to other people. When Caesar was around Antony, Antony thought that he was good roman who would not cause harm or damage to the people but because he died, he could not stop thinking about Caesar so he decided to take revenge on those who have stabbed him. (Act three scene 1 lines 254-275) This shows how angry he is angry he is when his best friend has just been killed. He is so outraged that he wants to bring out the dogs of hell to kill the conspirators. He says and does all these things because he thinks about Caesar and his death. He thinks that this is a worthy goal for Octavius and himself because he is doing this because Caesar was their friend who was loyal and trustworthy to them. At the end of the story, he still thinks about Caesar but makes the conspirators his friend because he caused a lot of death just for killing Caesar.

The two motivators, that are revenge and Caesar, caused Antony to go wild. It caused him to make war about Caesar’s death and made people go against everyone. Antony was able to succeed in his goals, which worked perfectly. He was able to kill all the conspirators with a brutal war. He was able to win because he had more men and had more weapons, which caused the conspirators to give up and die. I think that the goals were just worthy, not a noble goal because I think that some people liked what Antony has done for the people of Rome but I think some nobles didn’t like what Antony has done. I think some people didn’t like it because they caused a lot of war that meant that they had a lot of blood and death.

COLLAGE REFLECTION

THINK CREATIVELY:
The creative elements that were on my poster was the six word memoir because I tried to find a memoir that would represent what happened most of the time in the collage. In my collage, the memoir represented the pictures and the most of the scenes in the movie.

Reason Critically:
The images and the test that i selected helps me understand the hardships that the Lost Boy's went through during the time of the civil war within its country. This helped me understand by showing me that people got killed while running away from the people who were shooting their families.

COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY:
My poster creates awareness of their journey by showing pictures when they were facing challenges that the boys had never faced before and being forced migrated out of their own country because of the civil war within the country

Live Ethically:
I think my collage demonstrated an emotional respone from my audience by my collage which had pictures of people getting killed and the sadness of what they had to go through during the hardships of the war. I think when people looked at my collage, i think they wanted to help the Sudanese boys when they were in the crisis for the land borders.

VOID 2nd HOMEWORK BAND

IN PARAGRAPH:
5. First, when I saw the black dot on others people, I thought they were the lucky ones to have the black dot. I saw people being excited or sad when they saw that they had no dot on their paper. I was very curious what was going to happen with the people with dots and no dots. But after, Mr. Housego told us that the black dot was a bad thing, I was happy because the black dot was for the people who were going to do the playing test of smooth.

4. I felt curious and scared about the paper because I though the paper would be like a note saying that I have to go to detenion or something like those. At first, I thought It was like those notes, but I was getting curious of the book so I thought it would be the ending of the story that we havent finished. Then, I thought It would be something for my parents so I went with this idea. I was so curious that I couldn't wait so I removed one of the staples and saw what was inside and I reliezed it was my second idea which is the ending of the story. I didnt follow instructions because I was too curious and wanted to read the ending of the story.

BRIEF:
1. I would call this story, the mysterious lottery, and not the lottery because I couldnt even predict what was going to happen if the box was messed up. In addition to the predicitions, I couldn't even guess why those people would do the lottery.

2. I thought the people weren't going to do the lottery and I thought of this because I thought this wasn't a big deal for those people in the village.

3. When the ending wasnt given to me, I was going to ask the teacher, what book it was called and ask him if I could borrow it.

The Lost Boys Of Sudan

The video was about the boys who were forced to immigrate to other countries because of the raging war in Sudan. When the boys were moved to a different country, United States of America, the boys, especially Peter, had a hard time getting a job, fitting in the society and many more but the most hardest difficulties they faced was the fitting in with other people at school and at his neighbourhood because all the black people was a little bit darker than he was so that caused him to feel lonely. Peter was having difficulty because of the lack of time, when he first came to America, he thought it would be so great but after, he reliezed it wasnt. He wanted to join the basketball team because he thought he could be better than other people and also he had to pay and find a work place because he had to pay the rent of the house that he was living in.

When Peter first got to America, he thought everything was going to alright becuase he thought his culture wouldnt change and might have thought that people might respect where he came from but it was different from his thinking. When he played basketball, he couldnt win because everyone was playing rough and not fairly. They started to think that they should forget about their African culture and go with the American culture because nothing from their culture matched with the others.

CEASAR Acting

This is the scene when Antony asked Brutus if he was allowed to have a burial ceremony at the market place, and Brutus allowed it. My part is when Antony gives his long speech. He gives them respect unlike Brutus. Antony was not commanding and dumb, he asked the people to hear and also he did not changed how he talked, he talked in a normal sentence while Antony spoke in a high authorite way.

Antony's speech is signifacant. This passage is signifacant because first, this is the part where Brutus and Antony talks to get the people onto their side so that they can get the people to do what they want. Second, Antony uses verses and high vocab to talk when he was giving the speech, this tells that Brutus changed how he talked. In addition, he used a paragraph and used low vocabulary to make the people trust. Lastly, this tells in the end, who would win the arguement and defeats the conspirators. In a nutshell, this part is signifacant because first, Brutus and Antony tries to get the people on each others side, he uses high vocab and verses to get people interested, lastly, he spole in a high authoritive way.

(Act 3 Scene 2 lines 71-105)
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interrèd with their bones.
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious.
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answered it.
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest—
For Brutus is an honorable man;
So are they all, all honorable men—
Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me.
But Brutus says he was ambitious,
And Brutus is an honorable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill.
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious,
And Brutus is an honorable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition?
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious,
And, sure, he is an honorable man.
I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause.
What cause withholds you then to mourn for him?
O judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me.
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.

BAND ASSIGMENT

The International School of Kuala Lumpur provides an exceptional education that challenges each student to develop (Silence) the attitudes, skills, knowledge and understanding to become a highly successful, spirited, socially responsible global citizen.

I feel that adding a silence after the word DEVELOP creates the tension. When I add the void in the explanition that students devolp will create the best way to make the people want to hear more of the ISKL's misson statement. Also when i add the silence after the word develop, the audience might think that its over and it makes them want to get more information from the speaker about this. To conclude, I feel that adding a silence creates the tension.
